Last updated: May 25, 2026Active Private Beta Agreement

1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering an account, purchasing a subscription, or using the Tenure service, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you (the Academic Portfolio Creator) and Tenure.

If you do not agree to these terms, please do not access or use the platform.

2. Account Credentials & Security

To host a portfolio, you must create an account. You are fully responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your username, password, and active session tokens.

You agree to provide accurate and complete registration details, including academic affiliation. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use or security breaches regarding your portfolio. We are not liable for losses caused by unauthorized credential exposure.

3. Academic Content & Intellectual Property

You retain all intellectual property rights and copyright to files, publications, text, images, CVs, and syllabi uploaded to Tenure. We do not claim ownership over any of your research materials or teaching contents.

By publishing your site, you grant Tenure a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, transmit, and render your portfolio content strictly for the purpose of serving your public website.

Conduct Standard: You represent that you own or possess the necessary rights and permissions for all uploaded research papers and syllabi, complying with publisher agreements.

4. Subscription Tiers & Stripe Billing

Tenure offers various subscription tiers (Graduate, Professor, Tenure). Subscription features, publication limits, and upload limits are governed by the selected plan.

Payments are managed and processed securely using Stripe. All billing updates, plan cancellations, and credit updates will cycle automatically according to Stripe billing agreements. Cancelled subscriptions remain active until the end of the paid billing period.

5. Account Termination & Liability Limit

You can delete your account at any time via your dashboard, which automatically cleanses all data rows and removes all files permanently.

Tenure is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from academic server downtime, loss of portfolio access, or publication metadata sync discrepancies.
